No Debate

I want to take a moment and step into an alternate reality. A reality where life exists not as we know it, but as a life beyond our current comprehension. The following is a compelling argument for one side of a debate that has been raging for over 20 years.

"Today we live in a world where ignorance runs rampant by the masses. From the inner cities to farm towns of the mid-west, education is extinct in all but one form. We have the uneducated attemptaing to educate the uneducated and it has lead to a critical state for our Union.

We have a serious unemployment issue in this country that must be addressed. This is mainly due to the over abundance of working age Americans who are flooding the industrial market. Industrial work that includes welding, metal bending/working, wood working, salvage work and some construction. There is also an over abundance of working age Americans flooding the agricultural market as well as some of the service industry. These jobs include planting seeds, crop tending and lawn work/landscaping. These of course all being jobs that do not require A) An Education B) Good Hygiene and lastly C) Require that you be literate and able to speak. (English or otherwise) Life exists like this for most of the middle class and lower class of America ever since congress passed a bill in the mid 1900's.

This bill proclaimed that every American family was responsible for putting their children through school. The more children that you had was all the more money that you had to spend towards their private education. This of course was to be the famous "death of public schools" in America. From this moment in time, the social and economic classes in this country has fractured in both a prodigious and profound way.

However - There is a class of Americans who are taking mankind into the future. I am speaking of course, about the upper class of our great Nation. You see, most upper class Americans trace back to around the time that congress passed the education bill. Most of the wealthiest families of the era could afford to place their children though privately funded schools and thus those children stood a far better chance of becoming a proper member of society.

Thanks to the recent discovery "Web Technology", the future could be even brighter for some. Just 15 short years ago we went to the Moon and within only 15 more, we hope to break our solar system with a round trip planned for 2021. Technology is evolving at a terribly rapid rate and as a result, technology is the largest global market in existence. Coming in at second of course as well all know, "Big Food". Thirdly would be Education and at a distant fourth is private law enforcement. (This bill Passed in the 80's!!) Due to such a small yet lucrative market, most of the upper class in America is very well off and planning bright futures for their families for generations to come!

Meanwhile might I remind you that there is a class in this country that is not healthy, not educated, eating poorly, terribly overweight and in some instances downright dangerous and unpleasant. Famously stated/proven in history, Fear+Uneducated=Hostile and Dangerous. It is a great absurdity to pretend for a any length of time that we do not know causes of our classes. How crime became such an industry?

I purpose to you today, that we pass a bill that says, "every American deserves an education!" Hence forth ALL working class American's taxes will increase as an investment in everyone's future! The opposition would have you believe that you would simply be "footing the bill for other people's kids". That argument is "I don't have children. Why should I have to pay to send everyone's kids to school?" I ask you is this American? Is this what we have become? Let's do the right thing here America"

Now that we have returned from our alternate universe, we find that it is very similar to ours yet took some rather interesting turns. The passing of the education bill was a hard blow to our whole culture and vastly changed the progress of our history. Hindering technology for a short while yet due to extreme education and vast financial resources, rapidly accelerated in a very short period of time.

The lower end of society also slightly resembles our current state. Only in our alternate universe, the classes were divided into poor/destitute and very wealthy. Over generations the lack of education for rural Americans brought on the collapse of the middle class and potentially for good. In our reality, schools were a metaphor for our current health care state. In one world, greed and ignorance destroyed society by taking away something that every American gets early in life; a public education! It was all part of being a tax paying citizen! In our world, we want to deny good health care. Most of the world has already signed up for this. It is in a word a "duh" factor for them.

We pay for all of the elderly that are currently drawing social security. As tax payers, we pay for our police, rescue services, libraries, EDUCATION and more! Why not our health??

Thank you for your time R.S

Winds of Change.......

I cannot begin to express how excited I am about this election. I am no longer ashamed (at least for the moment) of the country I reside in. November 4th proves that we have risen above our history in a new way. Hopefully in a way that will transcend history itself.

I come from a small town where even as late as 40 years ago, racism existed on a high level. When a city official calls for a "koon hunt" because a black man was reported to be dancing with white woman at a local inn, i'd say the town was racist. When it had a provisional KKK during the turn of the last century, i'd say it was racist. So image how stoked I am to A) no longer live there and B) well, the election!!

But that really is not the reason I cast my vote for Senator Obama. I'll quote my Aunt to finish up.

"To those of you who did not vote for Obama, or who are not excited. You should read up on this man. Look into his personal past. And just don't go to Wickapedia, or Fox Fuck news.

He isn't your typical politician. He taught Constitutional Law for TEN YEARS!

He has worked very hard in poor neighborhoods, trying to help people help themselves to do better. He doesn't just want to give hand outs. He wants people to WORK for what they get.

He truly wants a better America, one that treats it's Veterans with respect, one that helps students get through college without drowning in debt, one that will TALK to other nations. gee wouldn't that be something? To have our President actually be able to sit down and talk, and not just drop bombs?

I AM excited. I know it will not be easy for him. He will have the far right to contend with and those in the senate who will not give him an inch.

But this is something big....this is real CHANGE....it's not just a bandwagon. It's our nations' future. And it is a bit brighter today, because of Barack Obama."

Paris, Hennessy?

You know, when I walk into a Hilton Hotel, I'd like to think it means something. That my hard earned money is well spent on a safe, secure and luxurious room for the evening. After all, that's what all Americans tell themselves when they drop some dough on something they don't need. However, the fact is that my money went into to pocket of a man, who in turn placed it into the purse of a daughter, who finally broke down and bought that "Stupid Spoiled Whore video Play set" she has always wanted.

I don't know why she was so afraid of jail? We have already established that she's a just a tad slutty. Maybe the thought of doing anything for free frightens and disgusts her. Because as we know, Paris Hilton does not do charity.

Falwell that ends well!

Happy dirt nap Jerry. Yes indeed, after 73 long years on this planet, world renowned asshole Jerry Falwell died today. In case you don't know who this tub of shit was, he pretty much lead the right wing evangelical movement over the past 20 some years. Ever since Regan this piece of work has made a career, out of making a name for himself in christian history.

Ah Jerry. If you were alive today I would crap in your hat.

Rest in peace you old bastard.

Everything is Not Rosie....

Look! I don't care that Rosie quit the view.

""The View" without Rosie O'Donnell? That's like thunder without lightning. Sturm without Drang. Sanjaya without a weird hairdo. How will the daytime world adjust?

Says the Chicago Tribune on the issue. I have a thought, get off your fat ass and do some house work or get a job. Hey! I don't care that she quit, got fired, whatever. She's a fat loud-mouth and I think everyone can agree that has been established.

Alec Baldwin! I could give two shits how the man talks to his daughter. Maybe she is a pig and a bitch? Who knows? The mans personal life should not be up for debate on CNN for fuck sake!!

These are headlines and I just can't believe we are forced to watch this crap! I have decided to stop with network news and go with real journalism. I will only watch local news, John Stewart, Bill Maher and Steven Colbert from now on. A least they realize the news they report is bullshit. Hey! and it's entertaining as well. If I want REAL news, I will watch Dan Rather on HDNet. A least he keeps it "real."

...Asshole media.

Look a likes and Wannabes!

I think my brother was an Idol! (Sundance Head on the Left, Kevin on the right)

Great fun. Too bad Sundance was beat out by someone with no talent. Yet another problem this day and age. Very little actual talent out there these days being given a shot. I am starving for something new to just grab me.

I thought it would be American Idol. Guess it's more like American Farce....

Big Oil, Big Hero, Big Ass-Holes

Perhaps some of you are familiar with a certain idea floating around these days. You know, the one about every American not getting gas on a specific day? The hope would be to financially impact BIG OIL in a negative fashion. If so, Kudos, you're on the right track.

Unfortunately however, this does not do a thing to assist in any way. If we don't go to the pump one day, sure they lose over 2 Billion dollars. But, we have to go to the pump someday. Most likely within the same week let alone business quarter.

Alternate energy sources are the only answer. And guess what? BIG OIL is going to HAVE to diversify and expand beyond petroleum if they wish to survive. They need that $$ for research! Question is, how do you convince someone to take a huge cut the the bottom line these days. Even if for the environment. Converting won't be cheap!

Again I agree with my man Bill Maher, "Some problems are just too big for the people. Only the government can really make it happen." We can shove awareness, drive hybrids and live in the dark all we want. Fact is, in order to actually succeed, we need government buy in.

Don Imus Smimus!!

I fear the worst has come. We live in a world today where rich get richer, the bottom line matters most and half the world is starving or has AIDS. We are about to lose our friendly weather patters and our clean air! Yet, we take time to stop worrying about the important issues and focus on taking our civil liberties away. Yes indeed, slowly but surely the Civil Liberties of all Americans are slowly being pulled. AND BY OUR OWN HAND! First, it was the Patriot Act allowing unlawful search and seizure.(America wanted bush) On to television and the media now. I watch MTV and all I hear is "Bling Bling, Niggas, Bitches and Ho's' etc. And that's fine. I will just turn to a station where I can actually exercise my brain! BUT, let radio veteran Don Imus say anything about "Nappy Headed Ho's" and he loses his long standing career, comes under fire from Al Sharpton (who by the way is a TERRIBLE representation of his race and heritage) and will go down in history not for his successes, but as a racist who was fired.

Does Sharpton ever watch Comedy Central? HBO? It is everywhere! Any chance this guy gets to plug himself into a headline, he will.

I hope the human race learns something from the past 100 years come the time natural disasters are leveling this thing we call society. All I gotta say. . . . for now.
