No Debate

I want to take a moment and step into an alternate reality. A reality where life exists not as we know it, but as a life beyond our current comprehension. The following is a compelling argument for one side of a debate that has been raging for over 20 years.

"Today we live in a world where ignorance runs rampant by the masses. From the inner cities to farm towns of the mid-west, education is extinct in all but one form. We have the uneducated attemptaing to educate the uneducated and it has lead to a critical state for our Union.

We have a serious unemployment issue in this country that must be addressed. This is mainly due to the over abundance of working age Americans who are flooding the industrial market. Industrial work that includes welding, metal bending/working, wood working, salvage work and some construction. There is also an over abundance of working age Americans flooding the agricultural market as well as some of the service industry. These jobs include planting seeds, crop tending and lawn work/landscaping. These of course all being jobs that do not require A) An Education B) Good Hygiene and lastly C) Require that you be literate and able to speak. (English or otherwise) Life exists like this for most of the middle class and lower class of America ever since congress passed a bill in the mid 1900's.

This bill proclaimed that every American family was responsible for putting their children through school. The more children that you had was all the more money that you had to spend towards their private education. This of course was to be the famous "death of public schools" in America. From this moment in time, the social and economic classes in this country has fractured in both a prodigious and profound way.

However - There is a class of Americans who are taking mankind into the future. I am speaking of course, about the upper class of our great Nation. You see, most upper class Americans trace back to around the time that congress passed the education bill. Most of the wealthiest families of the era could afford to place their children though privately funded schools and thus those children stood a far better chance of becoming a proper member of society.

Thanks to the recent discovery "Web Technology", the future could be even brighter for some. Just 15 short years ago we went to the Moon and within only 15 more, we hope to break our solar system with a round trip planned for 2021. Technology is evolving at a terribly rapid rate and as a result, technology is the largest global market in existence. Coming in at second of course as well all know, "Big Food". Thirdly would be Education and at a distant fourth is private law enforcement. (This bill Passed in the 80's!!) Due to such a small yet lucrative market, most of the upper class in America is very well off and planning bright futures for their families for generations to come!

Meanwhile might I remind you that there is a class in this country that is not healthy, not educated, eating poorly, terribly overweight and in some instances downright dangerous and unpleasant. Famously stated/proven in history, Fear+Uneducated=Hostile and Dangerous. It is a great absurdity to pretend for a any length of time that we do not know causes of our classes. How crime became such an industry?

I purpose to you today, that we pass a bill that says, "every American deserves an education!" Hence forth ALL working class American's taxes will increase as an investment in everyone's future! The opposition would have you believe that you would simply be "footing the bill for other people's kids". That argument is "I don't have children. Why should I have to pay to send everyone's kids to school?" I ask you is this American? Is this what we have become? Let's do the right thing here America"

Now that we have returned from our alternate universe, we find that it is very similar to ours yet took some rather interesting turns. The passing of the education bill was a hard blow to our whole culture and vastly changed the progress of our history. Hindering technology for a short while yet due to extreme education and vast financial resources, rapidly accelerated in a very short period of time.

The lower end of society also slightly resembles our current state. Only in our alternate universe, the classes were divided into poor/destitute and very wealthy. Over generations the lack of education for rural Americans brought on the collapse of the middle class and potentially for good. In our reality, schools were a metaphor for our current health care state. In one world, greed and ignorance destroyed society by taking away something that every American gets early in life; a public education! It was all part of being a tax paying citizen! In our world, we want to deny good health care. Most of the world has already signed up for this. It is in a word a "duh" factor for them.

We pay for all of the elderly that are currently drawing social security. As tax payers, we pay for our police, rescue services, libraries, EDUCATION and more! Why not our health??

Thank you for your time R.S
